Description
We love being able to showcase the same coffee in different ways! Black Honey comes to us from the Ramirez Estate in Dominican Republic. It is one of 3 coffees we carry from Ramirez Estate.
We love working with Ramirez Estate because their coffees are Certified Organic and Direct Trade. Black Honey is no exception, which means you can feel good about where this coffee comes from.
Black Honey is a honey process coffee. The honey process is like a combination of washed and natural processes. Some of the coffee fruit is left on the bean. Then the coffee bean is washed with some water and the mucilage from the fruit (this is the ‘honey’ part). As a result, the honey process is more eco-friendly because it uses less water. It also imparts sweetness to the coffee with a hint of fruit. In this case, Black Honey hints at chocolate covered cherries. What’s not to love about that?!
Want to try a home cupping with our Dominican Coffees? We carry washed process Existential Support and natural process Dominican Fruitcake. Find all 3 of our Dominican coffees here and see the difference processing methods can make!
Black Honey is Blind Coffee Roasters’ winningest coffee. We’ve entered it at Golden Bean North America multiple times, and earned 6 medals. Give it a try to see what the excitement is about!
We started Blind Coffee Roasters in 2012 as an extension of Tim’s home roasting hobby. Since then, we’ve been growing our business into something we’re truly proud of. We excel at bringing in and roasting coffees from all over the globe to highlight each region’s distinctiveness. Blind Coffee Roasters provides high quality specialty coffee with a smile and a sense of humor. We’re grateful for your support and love being part of your morning routine. Cheers!
