We started Blind Coffee Roasters on exceptional coffee, and one of our first was Haiti Blue Mountain.\u00a0 This varietal was originally from Jamaica, but following the earthquake in 2010, several of these shrubs were brought to Haiti to help the rebuilding efforts.\u00a0 It has become a much sought after coffee for specialty coffee lovers.\u00a0 This SUPER rare coffee set the standard for us as a roaster.<\/p>\n

Processing<\/h4>\n
Haiti Blue is a washed processed coffee. This means the farmers wash the coffee cherry off the bean with water before drying, giving the coffee a clean taste.<\/div>\n

Roast Level<\/h4>\n

Our Haiti is a Scandinavian Roast, which is a light roast.\u00a0 We pull the coffee out of the roaster when it is just past a cinnamon color.\u00a0 We find this roast level brings out the bean’s authentic flavors without the influence of roasty-ness.\u00a0 This coffee is light enough to highlight its nutty side.\u00a0 At this roast level, the body is tea-like and gentle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We purchase Haiti Blue Mountain direct from farm.\u00a0 This coffee raises funds for post 2010 earthquake relief, and we are proud to support our Haitian coffee farmers!<\/div>\n

We will deliver orders from the Portland Metro Area within 1-3 business days free of charge.\u00a0 You can also choose local pickup.\u00a0 We will ship all other orders within 1-3 business days and provide tracking information via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail.\u00a0 Free shipping is available for orders of $50 or more.<\/p>\n
