We\u2019ve been perfecting our roasts and serving our coffees in the cafe, so you\u2019ve seen our anticipation. We got the results, and&#8230;Blind Coffee Roasters won 5 medals!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_8844.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-53913 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_8844-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"3 medals from Golden Bean The Americas, a bronze, gold, and silver.\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Golden Bean is a worldwide coffee roasting competition. It\u2019s divided by region, so we participate in Golden Bean The Americas. GBNA is a yearly competition, and about 1,500 roasters with about 6,000 coffees enter each year. <a title=\"Competitions and Awards\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/category\/bcr-news\/competitions-and-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In previous years, BCR has won a total of 46 awards<\/a>,<a title=\"Golden Bean World Series\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/we-won-our-very-first-international-medal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> including a bronze medal in the 2025 World Series<\/a>. <a title=\"Golden Bean 2023\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/blind-coffee-roasters-is-highest-oregon-finisher-at-golden-bean-north-america-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In 2023 we became the most decorated roaster in Oregon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>The Coffees<\/h4>\n<p>We entered 4 coffees this year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Super G&#8211;a natural anaerobic yeast assisted fermentation (what a mouthfull!) Gesha, the rarest coffee varietal. If you couldn&#8217;t guess from the description, this is Tim&#8217;s entry. \ud83d\ude09 This coffee boasts a raspberry and rose hip brightness matched by brown sugar sweetness.<\/li>\n<li>Shuar Shot&#8211;a washed process from Ecuador. It tastes of baker&#8217;s chocolate, citrus, with bright acidity and smooth finish. It comes from a cooperative effort from different indigenous tribes in Ecuador, including the Shuar. Bowie has refined this roast over the course of months.<\/li>\n<li>Kouoptamo Cameroon&#8211;a washed process from the mountains of Cameroon. This coffee has notes of dark chocolate, honey, with subtle lemon peel. It is a smooth body with a pleasant linger. This was Sharayah&#8217;s entry.<\/li>\n<li>BCR Decaf&#8211;BCR Decaf is a sugarcane process with notes of caramel, semisweet chocolate, and hazelnut. It has won an award at Golden Bean every year since 2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>The Results<\/h4>\n<p>And now, the moment we\u2019ve all waited for: here are the results for Golden Bean The Americas 2025!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Super G won BRONZE in espresso and SILVER alternative milk<\/li>\n<li>Shuar Shot won BRONZE in milk based<\/li>\n<li>Kouoptamo Cameroon won BRONZE in milk based<\/li>\n<li>BCR Decaf won GOLD in decaf<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019re so proud! The gold medal is our invitation to the Golden Bean World Series in Australia in February. Stay tuned to hear how that goes.<\/p>\n<p>We want to share these amazing coffees with you.
