{"id":53582,"date":"2025-09-03T14:39:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T21:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/?p=53582"},"modified":"2025-09-03T14:37:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T21:37:42","slug":"the-most-refreshing-cold-brew-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/the-most-refreshing-cold-brew-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"The Most Refreshing Cold Brew Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Here&#8217;s a fun fact for you:\u00a0 caffeine is water soluble.\u00a0 That means, all things being equal, the longer water is touching coffee grounds, the more caffeine in the cup.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_8131.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-53721 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/IMG_8131-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Kitchen counter with jar of cold brew concentrate, coffee beans, coffee tree, and iced cold brew.\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Today we&#8217;re talking about brewing cold brew, which has the most caffeine compared to <a title=\"Brewing Methods\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/category\/all-about-coffee\/brewing-methods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other brewing methods<\/a>.\u00a0 You might remember it&#8217;s also one of the most <a title=\"Sustainability for the Home Barista\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/sustainability-in-coffee-for-the-home-barista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sustainable ways of making coffee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients\/Supplies:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Quart sized jar with lid\u00a0 (We LOVE the <a title=\"Rumble Jar\" href=\"https:\/\/therumblejar.com\/products\/rumble-jar-32oz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rumble Jar<\/a>.\u00a0 Not an affiliate link, we just think it&#8217;s nifty!)<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"How Does Grind Size Affect Coffee's Taste\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/how-does-grind-size-affect-coffees-taste\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coarsely ground<\/a> coffee<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Controlling Water Temperature for Better Tasting Coffee\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blindcoffeeroasters.com\/bcr\/controlling-water-temperature-for-better-tasting-coffee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cold water<\/a> (also hot water for our super secret pro tip)<\/li>\n<li>Stainless steel mesh strainer and\/or canvas bag to hold grounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Steps:<\/h3>\n<p>First, add approximately 70 grams (almost 2.5oz) of coffee to your strainer.\u00a0 Then add your strainer to your jar.<\/p>\n<p><em>(This is the amount we like for a quart jar.\u00a0 Make adjustments based on how weak or strong you like your cold brew.\u00a0\u00a0Remember, we typically cut cold brew with water before serving.\u00a0 More on that below.)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Next, fill the rest of the jar with water.<\/p>\n<p>Let the coffee sit on the counter for at least 8 hours or in the fridge for 24.<\/p>\n<p>After that, remove your strainer.\u00a0 For an extra clean cup, pour the coffee through a canvas bag or paper filter.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe makes a cold brew concentrate, which means it&#8217;s very strong.\u00a0 Typically, concentrate is &#8216;cut&#8217;
